CAS(E) this Sketch #297

I am here again with CAS(E) this Sketch #297, and again I have two cards.  The first is very close to the sketch, and the second isn't.

Here is the sketch.

So, for my first card I made a shaker card.  At least, it was worth shaking to start with, but then I decided to fill the space right up so that I had a complete oval full of sequins.

The second uses the sketch as a starting point.  I know this is how sketch challenges work, but I've got to be honest, I really struggle to not stick to the sketch.  As you can see though, I am doing better.

The cute little space man is from MFT's Space Explorer stamp set.  I made the banner using my silhouette cameo.  I made loads of them, because my mum has nine grandsons, and I make her cards for her.  I love this feature of the cameo, that you can print then cut out.  My cameo is quite old now but it is still going great guns.  I made the background with various blue and purple distress inks.  A couple of my water droplets were a bit big.  I tried to tone them down a bit but it didn't work.  What you cannot see at all in the photo is that I added some 'stars' with some perfect pearls mixed with water.

I am linking this card up to the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge, where we have to make our own background.

Have a great day.  Mine is almost over so I have cleared the dining table and will go make dinner now.  Thanks for dropping by.

Karen
