MFT Sketch 414

So the sketch at My Favorite Things this week looks like this

and my interpretation looks like this.

I have used the Lots of Dots background stamp.  I stamped the small section with MFT Razzle berry ink, then clear embossed it, then I stamped the larger section using the same stamp, but embossed it with white embossing powder, and brushed over it with my ink dusters and more razzle berry ink.  It felt a bit dark, so I rubbed over it with a baby wipe, which actually changed the colour slightly.  I didn't have any coordinating paper to mat it on to so I went round the edge of a piece of white card with, yes you guessed it, razzle berry!  The flowers are a punch - EK Success Retro Flower, with a Candi dot in the middle.  When I came to look for the Candi online, intending to provide a link I really struggled to find any.  Have they stopped making them?  It is quite a while since I bought mine.

I am also Linking up with Watercooler Wednesday, where this week Anything (feminine) goes!

Thank you for stopping by,
Karen

  1. Flowers always say feminine, and a row of daisies are a sweet embellishment on your card, Karen! You went razzleberry "nuts" on this one, and I really like it! Thank you for joining us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge!!! -Donna

  2. Great used of the sketch, Karen. I think it's perfect, laid on its side. I love the way you've used that Lots of Dots stamp for your background. How interesting that the baby wipe changed the colour slightly. Those punched out daisies are the perfect addition with those little candy dots in their centres. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
