My mum has eleven grandchildren, only two of whom are girls.
My niece was born on 05-01-05, and my daughter was born on 07-01-07. As a mathematician, who loves numbers and patterns, this kind of thing fascinates me. It certainly makes the dates easier to remember!
So this week I have been making cards for the two girls.
This one I sent to my niece
I used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch. The cut out border is from Memory Box, and the stamp is from Papertrey Ink. I tried different papers under the die cuts but this one worked best.
For my daughter's card I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches, #369, and I took my inspiration from the Altenew January inspiration Challenge. Beka loves Altenew flower stamps. She likes to colour them with Zigs using the 'no-line' technique. She likes the WPlus9 modern florals too. We quite often have a chilled afternoon together colouring at the dining table. Her first choice of colours for flowers are red and orange too, so this inspiration picture was ideal.
This is the card I made for her. The flower is from the Coral Charm stamp set, which I heat embossed in white, and coloured with Zigs. This and the Beautiful day stamp set are probably my two absolute favourites. Isn't that flower just gorgeous?
The Happy Birthday is from MFT, and comes as a circle but I cut it in half for this card.
I'm also linking this card to Watercooler Wednesday, where I once again rocked the Watercooler this week!
Thank you for stopping by,
